You film constantly on holiday and watch almost none of it back. Forty clips from one week sit in the camera roll forever because nobody sits through forty clips. One compilation, in order, is watched every time.
A whole travel year, not just one trip
If you travel several times a year, a single compilation covering all of it reads very differently from separate films per trip. Cities, seasons, and companions cut against each other, and the year gets a shape it did not obviously have.
Set the range to January through December and let Dayjavu pull only the days that contain video. Days at home with nothing filmed drop out on their own, so what remains is largely the travel.
One day, one moment
The constraint is what makes it watchable. Instead of eleven clips from the same afternoon, you choose the one that carries the day, and set exactly where its second or two begins.
Location and date can be shown on screen, which matters most when a compilation spans several countries and the viewer needs an anchor.
Rebuild it as often as you like
Compilations are cheap to remake. Export a two-minute version to send to family and a longer one to keep, both from the same source clips, without duplicating anything in your library.

- Either. Orientation is chosen when the compilation is created.
