For each day you can choose exactly which clip to use and where in that clip the second begins. A seven-second video of a street crossing might be worth watching from 2.8 seconds in, not from the start. Dayjavu lets you set that offset per day.

You can also set the length: one second keeps a year tight and rhythmic, while three to five seconds gives each day room to breathe. A year at one second per day lands around six minutes.
