Do I need to film every day?
No. Dayjavu works with videos you already have in your library. Just pick a date range and choose your clips.
Does Dayjavu upload my videos?
No. Everything happens on your device. No cloud uploads, no data collection.
What happens if I lose or change my phone?
Save a backup from Settings, to iCloud Drive for example. The file holds your whole diary: which second of which video you picked for each day. Restore it on the new phone and Dayjavu finds each video again by its date and length. The videos themselves stay in your Photos library.
How long does a year recap take?
At one second a day, a full year plays in about six minutes. Pick longer clips (up to five seconds a day) for a longer film.
What is On this day?
If you filmed on today's date in an earlier year, Dayjavu shows that day's frame, faintly, in today's square on your calendar. Tap it to watch the week around it, or film today. A reminder can tell you too.
Can I share just this month, or a Story?
Yes. When you export, choose all days, this year, this month, the last 30 days or the last 7 days, then a full video, a Reel (9:16, up to 90 seconds), a Story (9:16, up to 15 seconds) or a square post. If the range is too long for the format, days are picked evenly so the video still spans the whole period. These presets are free.
